The QCCA develops, approves and revises syllabuses for the Preparatory Year to Year 12; accredits syllabuses prepared outside of the QCCA and offers services and resources to help teachers implement QCCA syllabuses.

The Specialist Disability Support in Schools (SDSS) Program—previously known as the Non School Organisations (NSO) Program—supports schools by providing funding to approved organisations to deliver services to improve access to and participation in curriculum and the educational outcomes for eligible school-aged students with disability.
